Environmental Benefits
Linoleum is a natural flooring covering material made up of linseed
oil, resins, and wood flour, integrated onto a natural jute backing
(backing for vinyl tile is polyester). As a natural product,
it is non-petroleum based and biodegradable. Unlike vinyl
composition tile (VCT), linoleum produces no toxic off-gassing.
