Job Summary

 

The object of  the Inventory Assistant will be to arrange all outbound freight, including rate shopping, tracking, and other activities associated with outbound LTL logistics.  This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is supervised by the Inventory & Logistics Coordinator.   In addition will assist the Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to ensure inventory is accurate at all times and helping with any as needed inventory projects

 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

 

1.      Supports, demonstrates and promotes the philosophy and company mission of Eco-Products

2.      Coordinates outbound LTL shipments, including arranging pickups, tracking shipments, setting dock appointments and other as-needed duties

3.      Obtains competitive quotes from freight companies

4.      Assists with inventory counts

5.      Ensures accurate inventory at all times

6.      Performs inventory analyses as needed

7.      Assists with picking, packing and shipping of outbound UPS shipments, and building LTL shipments as needed

8.      Participates in other inventory, warehouse and logistics projects as needed

9.      Duties as to be assigned


 

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

 

Detail oriented with a willingness to adapt and be flexible in a growing company.  Experience in a logistics and warehouse environment.  Strong organizational and analysis skills and the ability to multi-task.   Able to work in an autonomous environment while balancing multiple responsibilities.  Computer skills with the ability to learn inventory management software.  Must be willing and able to lift heavy boxes and other products.

  

  

Work Environment

 

Fast-paced, logistics environment with most of the time spent working on the inventory software, talking on the phone, and working in the warehouse.  Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm.
