Our Heavy weight - PS plant starch material cutlery is made from non-GMO vegetable starch.  Our cutlery is an excellent choice for hot foods and liquids with a heat tolerance up to 200 degrees F.   The cutlery light taupe in color with a matte finish.     

Our cutlery is an essential for a successful zero-waste wedding or birthday party.  Excellent for both hot and cold foods, our utensils are suitable with food up to 200 degrees (F).  Previously made from a mixture of potato and corn starch, now it is only made from non-GMO vegetable starch and other biodegradable fillers. 

The transportation of these utensils is carbon neutral meaning that we offset the emissions created during transportation of the products.  They are made in clean, approved factories in China that are ISO certified (worldwide clean manufacturing certification) and FDA approved.

Eco-Products is proud to offer the highest heat stable heavyweight PLA cutlery in the industry..  This compostable cutlery is made from NatureWorks Ingeo with some biodegradable fillers.  Strong and durable like heavyweight traditional plastic cutlery, our PLA cutlery is great for all occasions.  PLA cutlery is BPI compost certified.  The PLA cutlery is bright white with a smooth glossy finish.  This cutlery is stable up to 165 degrees F.    PLA cutlery is not recommended for hot soups.  

This cutlery maintains its strength in foods up to approximately 165 degrees (F) which is hotter than most food is served.  The spoons get a little soft if left in bowls of really hot soup, but they remain strong as long as they are not kept in hot liquids for long periods of time.  The knives are strong enough to cut through steak and the forks work well no matter what type of food you’re serving!

Made from U.S.-grown corn, our cutlery is biodegradable in commercial composting conditions.  The utensils will completely decompose within 100 days in a commercial composting environment. 

Eco-Products high-heat, heavyweight PLA utensils work perfectly in a formal dining setting or for a casual picnic.  Strong and durable, you won’t know a difference between our cutlery and petroleum-based plastic utensils!
